P. Sherman was a fun-loving, goofy boy who put his heart into everything he did. He lived to please and would do anything asked of him with enthusiasm. He had an impressive natural retrieving instinct and was fun and easy to train. He was a moderate to higher drive boy, yet effortlessly knew when to switch off. He was very adaptable to his environment and could hike endlessly or lounge on the sofa and snuggle. He was a mama's boy at heart and thrived on love and affection.

P. Sherman began his show career with a bang, finishing his championship with 3 specialty wins, including a 5-point major from the puppy classes, several Reserve Winners Dog to specialty majors, and 5 Best Puppy in Specialty Show wins, all by the time he was just 12 months old and with limited showing.

What started as a plan to “dip his toes in” for his Grand Championship quickly turned into something extraordinary. In less than four weeks, P. Sherman earned his GCH with all majors, including THREE Best in Specialty Show wins and a Reserve Best in Show. He continued to climb the ranks as a special and, in only 10 months of showing as a two-year-old, P. Sherman became one of the Top 10 Golden Retrievers in the U.S. for 2024.

We tragically lost P. Sherman before he could finish out his incredible year, but he had already exceeded every expectation we ever had for him. He was our first homebred champion, a multiple group and specialty winner, and a top 10 Golden. But most importantly, he was our heart dog.

We keep this page under “Our Dogs” in loving memory of P. Sherman. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts and never be forgotten.
