We occasionally hold back puppies for training, and they are available as fully trained adult dogs.

Having been lifelong canine professionals in both the veterinary and training fields, we have a strong appreciation for a well trained dog. While we love puppies and raising our little guys to go onto new homes, we also love shaping dogs into model citizens. Every know and then a puppy really stands out, and we will hold them back for training and a new home down the road. These dogs may go on to be service dogs, therapy dogs, or just outstanding companions. These dogs are raised in a home environment, and get extensively socialized and exposed to the real world. They receive excellent training from the time that they are 8 weeks old, and their future owners will receive lots of lessons and support to ensure that their obedience training transfers. Some of these dogs will also have various certifications, such as the Canine Good Citizen, therapy dog certifications, public access tests (for service dogs), or various sport titles. Dogs will typically be available to go to their new homes between 10 months and 2 years of age, depending on the kind of training that they are staying for. Dogs that we hold back are typically priced at $8,000 and above, depending on the level of training and which certifications and titles they have recieved.

Tattle was fully trained and sold as a service dog for a veteran with PTSD and Multiple Sclerosis. She is thriving in her new job, and her family adores her. She is a great ambassador for all of the dogs here at Waterfront Golden Retrievers.
